Actually direct light with flash & some bounce with my reflector on a white cutting board.

Kim...if you mix the oranges, a splash of vodka and the fruit drink you'd have a tasty little cocktail to sip while waiting for the next issue of the newsletter to make its way to Kentucky...

It was the use of the cutting board that did it...very authentic! :D

Val! A perfect example of cognitive thinking and ingenuity!!! I like the way you think!

Rob - Who knew Kiwi was such a beautiful fruit?

Steven - Well.... what a show-off! You, with your name-brand designer pineapple can!

Kim- My name brand designer Dole can contains the necessary vitamins to ward of scurvy. I heard that disease can make one surly.;)

Steven - Again with the surly? Had your Vitamin C level checked lately? Eaten a rotten banana lately??? :p

I won't touch a banana with a hint of a bruise. Nor an orange that doesn't peel cooperatively. Life's too short to eat bad fruit. But I am fine Kim, and thanks for your concern.:p

Lots of fun and (somewhat) healthy entries this week.

Rob - You sure got us started on the right track. Beautiful colors and clarity.

Steven - I'll assume the bruised bananas go into your world famous homemade banana nut bread?? The canned pineapple is classic ... Thanks, I was afraid I was going to have to do that.

Clara - If the bananas turn up missing I think we have a prime suspect! Nice images, and the apple shaped dish is a nice take on the theme.:)

Lorri - Nice image and the bowl is also a very nice carry through of the theme.

(Bananas seem to be winning so far ... of course they're the fruit with appeal:o)

Lisa - The colors are beautiful and I really like the water droplets on the avocados. Nicely done. (As an aside I hope we'll have a chance to see the fuzzy dice at some point.)

Kim - Wow ... a health nut!;) I've been trying to find an organic brand of Golden Peach Naturally Flavored Sparkling Water Beverage ... you know, where they use free range peaches ... let me know if you run across any. Fun image!!

Tony - Wonderful presentation of blossoms to fruit to cider. Your image could easliy be an ad for the product.

Pat - Great image --- the smells really do come through.

Ellen - Until now I had no idea I was named for an Australian blueberry. It explains a lot actually. The shape looks very much like a bell pepper ... are they 'blueberryish' in size??

Mary Lou - Fun image:). If the toddler salad goes missing we may cast an eye in Kim's direction!

Cape - Well that makes me look forward to the tastes of summer.

Judy - Nice to see you back again ... hope your schedule lightens up a bit. The oriole is beautiful and compliments the orange perfectly. I wonder if you would have put out a lime if you would have gotten a parakeet??

Fun stuff folks ... still plenty of time for more entries.

Bill, your berries do look like bell peppers, about twice the size of blueberries. I sorta feel healthier too after this fruitful theme.

Bill, I'm still confused on image size. It looks like the one you redid is the same size. Am I missing something? I thought the image size was supposed to be no larger than 700-800. Thanks for helping me out. So much to learn at one time!!

Hi Mary Lou -

Your resizing was perfect, I think you just copied the thumbnail into your post instead of the forum link. So you'll resize like you did, upload like you did, but the highlight and copy the bottom link that says forum. Paste that link into your post and you should be good to go.

Here's a screen shot

... and here's (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30761) a link to Diana's very nicely detailed tutorial.

Hope this helps ... thanks again for posting.

Bill - Thanks for always taking the time to comment on everyone's submission. I agree with you that everyone's was really terrific!

But on a different matter:
Tony and I stated we were not getting kick-backs from our images. However, I feel I must object to Gary's image as it clearly appears to be an infomercial for the Magic Bullet! :p (Note to Gary: ...and just where might I get one of those???) :o

Yes, that you Bill for all of your time and your nice comments.

And by the way Gary, I also want one of those Magic Bullets.

Well...

If you order in the next 14 minutes, I can deduct one payment...

BUT WAIT...

seeing as how you asked here on the forum. I can send an additional one at no extra charge.. that's two for the price of one.

Get one for every member of the family.:D:D:D

Honestly though, for an infomercial type thing I use mine quit a bit.
