This seems like a no brainer, but I can't figure it out. How do you apply the same transition over multiple clips. I have selected my default tansition but right now I have to drag it to the start of each clip. With over one hundred clips it gets to be a pain. Anybody out there that can help?

Check this out....you are using Premiere Elements 4????

Go to the Transition Tab.
Right click the Transition that you want to use and select "Set As Default Transition"

Now add your media (photos) to the Media Panel.
Go to the Project View/Media, hold down the Shift to select the photos that you are going to be using
Then right click any one of them and select "Create Slideshow" from the drop down choices.
In the Create Slideshow Dialog that appears, you will see designated the Transition that you set. Click OK.

Remember, whatever you have selected in the Project View/Media is going to have the same transition via this "Create Slideshow" route. You can use this to your advantage if you want to have group A all with transition x, group B all with transition y, etc. If so, select ONLY group A photos and go through the process. Reset your transition, select ONLY group B photos and go through the process.

Let me know if that works for you.

Yes, I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0. I'm using video, not photos. I'm not seeing the functions you are talking about. I have selected my default transition, added media, selected clips to transition but I can't find the 'create slideshow' option.

This DOES work for video clips in the Media as well as photos (stills). BUT, it is necessary for you:
1. to make sure you have selected (highlighted) each clip you are to use (in a manner as described previously) Has to be more than one clip selected in the Project view.
2. to make sure that you are in the "Project" view of the Media, not in the "Get Media" view
3. to right click one of the clips in the group of selected clips, to get the drop down list with the option "Create Slideshow". Again, you do need to have more than one clip selected (highlighted) in order to get the "Create Slideshow" option in that drop down list.

Please give this another look and see what happens. If that does not work, we will dig deeper to find out why it is not working for you.
