Hhhhmmm, this one will definitely take some thinking about :). I've missed the last 2 weeks , without intending to, I just didn't come up with anything, and I thought, 'Right, a new theme today,' and now I have to think .......
I hope this is not like the Brownies and you get thrown out if you miss 3 weeks in a row .....

This is a "gift" that has traveled around our office for many years under the guise of being an award or heart-felt present. But for some reason, it is always graciously refused and returned to the office storage room, to await the next unsuspecting victim, er... I mean... recipient! We think it's an urn or hanging vase of some sort in which to hold dried flowers?

Steven,
That looks more like a kitsch-en table to me.

Byron- Punny! Do you have any occasion to wear your Dewey Cheatem & Howe tie? Other than church?
Ellen

I've loved all of these and think Clara has the right definition.
Christell- just what is the king cake baby thing? I've gotten beads but that is an odd thing.

Oh my gosh, Ellen! And you thought Bill's Atlanta Braves Bobblehead (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35975&page=2) during the "Toys" theme was scary! Your kitschy couple is more than a little macabre! Yikes!
I think Nancy's and Tammy's are pretty bad! Byron's tie that spells out his name is actually pretty darn cool! But again with "The Stooges?" "Why I oughta...." nyuk nyuk nyuk!
In viewing what's been posted so far, one image is just as bad as the next! Hard to believe there's so much bad taste in the world! (And that we proudly own it! :p)

Yeah - we do have some odd stuff. I guess in this case bad is good - at least for this theme. I really wanted to take my camera to a local garden center where they have a GeekyBeak that is 5 foot tall and is a peacock with feathers and all! I still may if I get there before Sunday just so you guys can see it. These things were "all the rage" last year and my kids bought me the two I have (the other is a large pink bird very similar to Bill's example) . Thank goodness my husband couldn't find the 3 foot tall one he was looking for! Here are some more: http://www.gardenfun.com/

Nancy - oops! My apologies to your kids! :o
And thanks for the link! Now I know just what to get for my best friend, who is very "yard proud!"

That's okay - they know I hate / love them. :o They're so stupid they're cute.
Hey I just remembered another one in my yard that my hubby did. Have you ever seen the faces you put on trees? Well he did it! My dog freaks out every time she goes out past that tree. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

Wow Ellen, if you're still trolling for Steven's plant lady figurine thing (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1vEmf2XTO7lGEbx8bCkPFM46FozVBe) that might do it! Fabulous bottle openers.

Steven,
No - when I go to church I'm more likely to wear one of my Jerry Garcia ties.
I am tempted, though, to put on the DC&H tie for my next jury duty appearance!!!

...what is the king cake baby thing? ...Ellen,
King Cakes are a holiday tradition for some... the cake is baked with the little baby in it. If you get the slice with the baby, you win... sometimes King (or Queen) for the day, or sometimes just the privilege of bringing the next cake!

Great stuff everyone ... each and every one of you clearly have very good taste.:D
Clara - Do you have any trouble finding birds that are Alabama fans? Nice shot.
Steven - Both entries fit the theme well! Glad the theme worked out for you without having to take your camera to work. Love the Simpsons on the chrome dinette.
Kim - Those in your office are quite generous to share such treasure!
Sharon - Wonderful rooster ... thanks for joining in again! Animal lamps are the best ... we have a moose lamp, a fish lamp, a turtle lamp ..... of course we're very troubled.:o
Mary Lou - Thanks for joining in again as well ... the blue palm tree is great. Image editing is fine should you choose to do so.
Janet - Kitsch extravaganza is right! The frogs are teriffic!
Tammy - Fun shot ... he reminds me of a moose jockey;).
Byron - No wonder you suggested the theme! Well done.
Nancy - I absolutely love it ... and having only one wouldn't have been enough.
Christell - Let the good times roll!
Ellen - As I mentioned earlier - fabulous bottle openers.
Pat - Kitschy ... garish; tomato ... tomahto. Glad you could come back up for air ... sounds like work has buried you for awhile! Nice entry and welcome back, we missed you.
Robb - Yeah, but WHAT a dragon! Nice shot as always.
Tony - Good timing ... some of us are squeamish.:D
Gary - Nice shot, especially handheld. What method did you use to remove the colour cast?
Good work this week everyone ... there's still some time for last minute entries.

thanks....found my tripod half an hour later:o
I find I have really good luck just using the basic "remove color cast" tool
I think it is in a different spot/menu in 5 and 6.
I just click around a few times until it looks right.

Byron - It's .... it's .... it's BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks for holding out til the end to give us the illusion of having half a chance. Plus, it's part of the Jaynee Collection, and even Google doesn't know what the hell THAT is!
Very nice.

I agree, Byron has the best of the worst! Absolutely hideously wonderful. Do you actually own this Byron, and how did it come into your possession?

First, welcome back Pat/Lily!!!! I've missed you!
Now about your Deco Art contribution, Byron -
that truly is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. But I thoroughly enjoyed your description of every minute detail of this amazing piece! And I will give you $5 bucks if you will bury that thing somewhere and never force us to look at it again. But, please, set that poor calf free first! :D

You folks certainly know how to warm a fellow's heart... it was not my intent to "win", but I knew I had a contender!
We do actually own this. It decorates the ledge above the tub in our master bath. Our son gave this to my wife as a Christmas gift a few years ago, to add to her "cow things" collection. (We are not certain where he got it - maybe a seasonal gift kiosk in the mall, maybe the flea market? All we are certain of is that it was the "last one".) I, too, found nothing when searching for the Jaynee Collection to try to replace a missing piece from our specimen. There is a pendulum below the clock face, but we don't have the decorative item which is supposed to be attached to the armature... nor do we have any idea what it should be. The possibilites are endless.
Keep your money, Kim. The only way we're going to be able to get rid of it while keeping peace in the family is if one of the grandchildren breaks it! :p

Well, there's always hope, Byron! Grandchildren (and sometimes grandpa's ;)) can be quite the fumble-fingers, at times!!!
