Collage Help Needed!!

I am making a collage and when I went to print it it says file too large. How do I resize the collage?

It ended up to be 12 X18. I followed your instructions from a post dated 10/13/05 and everything worked out except the size. I would like it to be 8 X 10 or 12 X 12. Also when I save it can I save it in a JPG so I can get it printed at Costco?

Hi ...

If you want to keep your image just as it is then you will need to resize it in proportion so you won't be able to make it into a 12 x 12 unless you crop some of it away.

Same thing with 8 x 10 ..

You could make it 6.667 x 10 ... or ... 8 x 12.

Try this:

Open up your image and then do Image>Resize>Image Size
Make sure that Scale Styles & Constrain Proportions are checked and that Resample Image is unchecked.

Then try changing with width and you will see that the height changes in proportion to it.

Just see which one you prefer and then do File>Save As
Choose the option jpg and give it a new name :)

I probably will redo it today. If i start with a blank canvas rather than a collage templete I assume (after doing it wrong!!) that I resize it before I start. I'm off to try that!! Thanks Wendy for your help. I'm sure you'll hear from me soon!!
