If images are visible online they can always (and I mean always) be copied. You can have private photos in Express that aren't available to anyone but you. But as soon as you make them public they can be copied by anyone with a computer.

Some sites will try to protect pictures by not allowing a direct download, but any enterprising thief can figure out a way around it. Sometimes its as simple as a screen capture and then cropping out what you don't want.

One way to slow someone down, or at least make it a little more work, would be to place a watermark on the pictures that you upload. See this site (http://www.moonriverphotography.com/gallery/634937#138586521-A-LB) for an example of what I mean.

Just to let you know, there's a difference between copyrighting and protecting from download. Your images are automatically your copyrighted property as soon as you publish them in any venue. You don't have to do anything to ensure that. However, if you want to protect your copyright in a lawsuit, it's recommended that you register it ... adds teeth. But I digress ...

A lot of photographers add watermarks to their images to ward off parasites (as someone else mentioned), but they also protect their images from download. I don't know if you can do that w/ Photoshop Express. I would be surprised since it offers you the ability to restrict access to your images. But I don't know fo sho. :cool:
