I need to make over 100 8X10s or 11X14s in a relatively short time. I'm doing this for my daughter's summer swim team which the season is only 6 weeks long. In that time I need to take a few good swimming action shots of each child and make a collage. I need a template where I can just drag pictures in, more them around and/or scale them to size. I'm thinking there has just got to be sites out there with these for free or even to buy. I'm not really looking for a scrapbook page type thing. I want more of a template that a photography studio would use for their shots. I want to be able to make it easy and then print them on my home printer. These are for the banquet.
Thank you so much.

If you go to the "Create" menu, you can choose from several different layouts (you don't need to choose a background if you don't want a "scrapbook" type page). You just drop the photos right in! I don't know about the other versions of PSE since I only have 6. Maybe someone else can post if this is available in earlier versions.

I just got PSE6 for Mac. I do see the create area but I only see a handful of layouts. I was wanting more variety. Is there a way to get more?
Thank you.

There are literally hundreds of digital scrapbook blogs that offer freebies, Google and you will likely find several templates. Or if you like the ease of just dropping in the photos directly to the layout, you can create your own by tweaking the available layouts in the "create" section. You can duplicate the frame layers and add as many photos as you want to the layout, space permitting. These are completely adjustable too, so you can change size, location, etc. of each photo in the layout. As far as your original question, most of the layered templates available on above mentioned blogs do not have the "drop in" frames, you have to clip the photos to the individual layers in the file. It would be great if there was a place you could go to for more "drop in" layouts, and there probably are, but I haven't found them. Sorry, probably not much help!

So do you mean that even if I go to Create and pick a layout style, if it doesn't have enough photo frames, I can add more by duplicating the layer?
Okay, I just tried picking a layout and added a few photos. I then clicked on Edit and I could indeed move the layers around and duplicate to add more photos. Thank you so much. I thought I only had what was offered there. Thanks so much.

When making a collage how do you put a color or a picture in the background? I think I have mastered adding and sizing the photo boxes...maybe!! Do you have a suggestion where I can find a tutorial for making this? I have Elements 6.0 and am just learning how to use it.
Thanks.

You can make a new layer, drag it behind your photo layers, and fill it with your background colors or the photo you want to use for your background.
If you are a subscriber to Photoshop Elements Techniques you can find a lot of tutorials and videos on their site. If not, try searching the village forum for "collage tutorial". A google search for PSE tutorials will also give lots of results.
