Hi,
Denny here again. This time I'm looking for a way of making text appear to flash on and off like a traffic caution light would. So far I have experimented with keyframing using the crop command (from the bottom)but it doesn't give it that all-at-once off and on look. What has worked for you on this? http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif

When you were experimenting with this idea and using keyframing, what property did you keyframe?
Did you try the following:
1. Create two Titles identical in text content by different text color. Put one on video track 2 (yellow text) and one on video track 3 (blue text). In preparing these titles I would omit the drop shadow effect for now.
2. Then highlight video track 3 Title/Blue and keyframe the Opacity, alternating 0 and 100%.
I tried it quickly, and it seems to work.
I will be back later to continue the idea and see how you did with your experimenting.

ATR,
Thanks for the idea. I'm using the same color (red) for this. I just want it to appear and disappear quickly. I think you're on to something though with the opacity. I'll try it.
Also, some time ago you posted a link to a tutorial-type site for Premiere Elements and I lost the link. It was not muvipix.com but it had some great short tutorials. I'm especially wondering about garbage matting. Any thoughts on what it might have been? - Denny
