How about a nice easy one this week? The theme is 'big'.

The 'big painting' in this week's starter image is on a building in downtown Albuquerque, just off old route 66. This is a great town to vacation in, ... and if Lindajay ever recommends a good rib restaurant to you - go! Thanks Linda.

I was out at a friend's house this evening, and I walked to the back of his property to visit my old van. This was my chariot in 1989 that took me on a 15,000 mile trip to all the lower 48 states, a journey referred to simply as The Big Trip. It was a trip. Hard to believe I lived in this for four months straight; now it is home to some raccoons.

How about the BIG eyes of a Great Horned Owl. Owls eyes are so BIG, there's not room for a BIG brain. Hence, they're not really "wise" at all.

Here's a big plate of carne adovada with red chile sauce, pintos and eggs as served at Casa Grande (Big House) in Albuquerque. Every day should start like this!

I know. This Bridge has been photographed a million times. But, when you stand next to it at this lookout, "Big" is an understatement. This was taken on Saturday, which was an amazing day in the bay.

A pic I took on the weekend of what I thought might be a beaver or a gopher in a large local pond/river but which I now believe is - gulp- a really BIG rat! Ugh!
Animal lovers, please tell me I'm wrong...(very fast swimmer, you could practically water-ski behind it)

This image taken this past Saturday of the 16 inch guns on the USS Massachusetts BB-59 in Fall River, Ma. My son, grandson & I slept overnight on the ship with the cub scouts. Had a great time. Oh by the way these barrells and guns are hugh by any standard.

Cape,
Welcome to the forum and to the Photo Theme challenge. Hope you don't mind me reposting your image but it was a tad too small to see properly.

The best way to post is to copy the second url under your image (the one labelled Forum) and post it into your thread. That gives us a reasonable size clickable thumbnail.

To use Bayla's words ... The best way to post is to copy the second url under your image (the one labelled Forum) and post it into your thread. That gives us a reasonable size clickable thumbnail.
Nice image ... and again welcome.
