Hello. I saw this picture and would love to put colored borders around pictures. I tried using the marque tool but that didn't work - could anyone tell me how or provide a link that explains how I could do this.

Hi Kathy ..
Just create a layer about the image
Next use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to make the rectangle
Then do Edit>Stroke ... choose inside to keep the corners sharp
... and there you go.
Do a new layer for each one and vary the stroke size :)

Hi Kathy,
This is a lovely photo. There is always more than one day to accomplish things here are a couple.
make a new blank layer-and have it active.
ctrl/cmd+click the layer thumb of the photo. You will get the marching ants around the picture. I know it is not where you want them now, but hang on.
Edit >stroke outline> put in perhaps 25 pix, and have inside checked then oK.
You should have a border frame on your photo now.
next
ctrl/cmd+t and grab a corner handle to pull outward. The frame will grow, then move to where you would like it.
Using this method keeps the frame the same proportions as the photo in case when you drag out the marquee it is different.
Hope this helps.
