Hmmmm, my area of Work work or my Home work? :)
(wonder if my boss would accuse me of being some sort of spy for the competition if I show up at the office with my camera.....)

 So far Sherry, my vote for the messy desk goes to you! Why is it so easy for our work area to get cluttered?? My 'painting' table doesn't have an inch of free space (it's 6' long). If I want to work I have to clear an area!!

Psssss Pauline Between me and my mom who both share the computer, I seem to get mad when she moves my stuff back to where its supposed to be cause then I cant find anything!!! oh you should see the stuff I think I might have to clean up a bit because theres a yogurt sitting here since yesterday morning I think I might see a pizza in the corner and there about a billion pictures spread out across my area... Hey it looks just like my room!!!!

Thomas, no eating around the computer! Don't you know the rules?

Tony. Loved your pictures. I am stunned by the width of that typewriter carriage!! I remember those old adding machines! Never used one, and I don't think it would be the kind where you flipped the invoice with one hand and punched in the number without looking with your other!! No speed would be happening with that thing.

Nice one Shelly!! I make my kids do their own laundry now, so I don't have to look at that 'office' near as much. Something about rewashing clothes that ended up in the laundry hamper still folded because they were too lazy to put them away caused to have a little 'mother meltdown!". It worked out for the best though.

I'm so close to that point with my kiddos, Pauline -- just a little longer. I can just make out your paintings and saw your stunning flowers posted a week or so ago. You are so talented.

Those are some hum work spaces, everyone. Jo, good looking boss. And Tony, that is lovely photo. That worn old wood has a wonderful patina that you've captured.

Pauline, I don't know, I try to keep my little cave tidy and I prefer it tidy but I just can't seem to keep it that way. School stuff, bills etc...all that crap ends up in here. Probably why I've lost focus. I do have visions on occasion on how I can organize things better. ' Visions' are usally as far as it gets. My biggest problem is that this is not my house. We are renting so I can't do much at all as far as ' making more room'..lord knows how many walls I'd love to tear down and add to. Still not sure I can take a pic of it. Perhaps i should just take a pic of my bed...sleeping is good work ;)

Jodi, I know how you feel!! Some times I think we just collect too much stuff (that being said, I was just notified by Amazon that my new books have been shipped! )

I have so much 'stuff' in this room there is no room left!! 99% has to do with my paintings, so there is wood products, lots of paints, brushes, books, books and more books! I don't plan on doing a craft show this year so nothing that's done will even get sold, but it won't 'go bad' and maybe one day I'll return to it. It is my haven though.

Sherry,

I like weaving rag rugs and wall hangings and love weaving Swedish lace. This winter I want to try something different and have done a goose eye twill draft using an application called Pixeloom. I have to figure out how to transfer my .wif (weaving information files) files to Elements.
Sherry...You gave me an idea. Thank you. Take more pictures. :D

Hi,Karen and Wendy!
Glad you liked seeing the "nitty- gritty" side of pottery! Our studio is one place where you literally get "feet of clay"!(ouch-well,I'd already used the "gone to pot" pun.)Next time I'll go for a "mug shot".
Wendy-love your studio! It inspired me to clean up my desk area (but, alas, not the wheel room-clay sera, sera!).

P.S.How do you get the little emoticons into the message without a line of text stating that it is javascript.etc.?

Wendy
November 4th, 2005, 04:20 AM
Raffy ...

To add emoticons ...

either click on the ones at the right hand side of the box .. and it adds them automatically

or type in the shortcut .. so if you type this : then straight after it try this ) ... well then you get this :) ...

I tend to type them in as its quicker :)

Sherry the night out was lovely and the movie was excellent! "Flight Plan".

Linda, you need more stuff on your desk! Would you like some help organizing it. All that clear space, how can you work like that?

lindajay
November 4th, 2005, 11:21 PM
Well, it's not ALWAYS like that. It gets cluttered, but it has lots of "hidey holes" for things, so that helps. Also, it's "L" shaped, and my hubby's "station" is on the other leg of the "L", and sometimes gets pretty messy. Looking right now, though, it looks like he's tidied his side up a bit, too!

Yes, Wendy, I did. And I've gone in several times to check it again. It's ticked as the main image, but isn't coming up that way. Oh well . . . not a big deal, I guess. Maybe I'll go check and see if Pixentral is working now. Have a nice Saturday!

Yeah right! I purposely didn't take a picture of the whole room. There are two printers (one is huge, a big canon for all my scrapbook pages), lot's of cocker spaniel stuff including all their grooming supplies. You should see it now! What a mess. There's a opened Canon EOS Rebel XT box with papers poking out, two cameras and I'm sure I could find a partridge in a pear tree if I looked really hard.

This is a very peaceful room, I have a killer view out my back window and the color of blue on the walls is very soothing. BTW, in case you haven't noticed on my pictures, blue is my favorite color!

Sherry,

Yep, it's messy for me and the rest of the room is a wreck. have you ever heard the cliche the hurrier I go the behinder I get, well, it's kinda like that for me in my room except it goes something like this, The more organized I try to become the more I find myself searching for things I organized. I can't even see the top of my desk right now!

November 6th, 2005, 06:15 PM

I find my room gets cluttered with papers and stuff! Speaking of paper, today I ran out. My kids just love to go and scoop it out of the printer and can't just take what they need but a handfull. I knew I had a box of paper, and had to hunt for it after I cleaned this room in spring! The longer I looked the madder I got. Finally found the bloody stuff at the bottom of my closet under 3 other boxes!! I think I'll remember where it is now though.
