Hello can anyone help. My old computer is sick but i still have access to the HD.

I had avery large collection of photos organised in the "my Catalog" organiser part of PSE 3.0 complete with tags.

I have withced "my Photographs" to the new machine and they are all there under Adobe. I have also installed PSE 3.0.

I can't seem to find the files on the old hard drive which need to be transferred to the new machine in order to get "My catalog.

Has anyone else done this and please could you tell me which files I need to look for and transfer :?: :?: :(

Hi Eric ...

I posted a reply in your other thread:

http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5225.

Most people read all of the sub forums so I imagine that you will get replies in that one rather than this :)

Which part of the UK are from?

I recently switched my catalog and photo's to a new PC. What I did (and it seems to have worked well):

On my new PC, I have made the "my pictures" folder a shared folder, allowing acces from my old PC over my home network. Then I moved all pictures with the "Move picture" command under the "file" menu from my old to my new PC. This can be done in 'batches', for instance as per date of the photo. Be carefull with photo's in version-set, as only the version shown in the catalog gets transferred. Finally, I have saved the catalog on my new PC using "Save as" in the "Catalog" menu. As a result, all my pictures (original files) are on my new PC, as is my catalog, complete with all tags. It only took some time, especially for the catalog and the proxy to copy over the network.
