View Full Version : Looking for Guide Line

I am currently using Elements 3 and it is fine for almost everything I need it to do. However, the one feature it does not have is the Guide Line that is available in Photoshop 7 or CS. I make a lot of composites where photos need to be lined up straight. I always do as much as I can by eye on my computer, then save the file to my network, and go find a coworker with a better version of Photoshop who has the Guide Line so I can straighten up my photos. I really don't want to have to buy Photoshop 7 or CS just to get this guide. Does anyone know if it is available in the newer versions of Elements?

Elements has grid lines availabe in the editor under the under the view menu select grid. You can set the grid preferences in the preference dialog located in the editor under edit.preferences.grid. Use the move tool to position item then the arrow keys to nudge.

Hi ...
I suspect that you are looking for Guides which are available in Photoshop but not in Elements ... however If you install Grant's tools then you will have access to Guides :)
