Upgrading to PSE6?

I am using PSE4 right now and my question is, all my organization that I have done with PSE4, will it be lost? Do I have to start over tagging all the pictures when I install PSE6? Thanks in advance for your help.

You should be able to convert your existing catalogue and keep all your tags etc :)

You can keep both 4 and 6 on your computor at the same time but will only be able to use one at a time. When you install 6 your photos will be copied to the catalog in 6. However, the photos in 4 will remain unchanged. PSE 6 has several new items such as the new selection tool that are very beneficial and I know several panelists have stated they like the black back ground, I find in quite annoying. It may be my eyesight but the arrows for the drop down menus are hard to find among other things. Also when my photos were copied into 6 from 5, the tags were somehow goofed up in 6 (PSE5 was unchanged) and I have had to spend time changing them. This is just my opinion. Hope this helps.

I have seen some threads where the connection to offline media was lost during the upgrade to 6. If you have offline images you might want to move them online before the upgrade then move them back offline using 6.
