cannot access help center

I have been using elements 4 for one week. I thought I was making progress, but I ran into a problem. I cannot access the help center. When I click help, I receive the following long error message: error reading configuration file c:/progam files/adobe/adobehelp center/adobe help data/ahc-contracts/xmi at line 3: junk after document element.
Any help would be appreciated.

I can't remember anyone reporting this problem with PSE4 but some people did have similar problems with PSE3. Perhaps some of the information about that may help you ... here is a link to one of the thread:
