Possible to migrate from WIN PSE 6 to MAC?

I have been using Photoshop Elements on the PC for many years. Now that PSE 6 has come out for MAC, I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to migrate from PC to MAC by restoring a PC backup? (I want to keep all tags etc rather than just doing a new importation of the raw images)

Are you planning on using iPhoto on the Mac ??

If so then some of the members here have switched to Macs and transferred their images over ... hopefully they will be able to help you :)

I was hoping to just crossgrade between win and MAC PSE, but I have now learned that Bridge is the only organiser in the MAC version of PSE6 and there is no crossgrade script or restore capability so I am out of luck.

I'd be happy to hear of other users workflows for switching to iPhoto however.

Perhaps would save some hassle to migrate in groups. In iPhoto make your keywords list the same as have now. In your organizer select a key word such as flowers>select all and import to iphoto. All these photos will be highlighted so just click and drag to the keyword to apply to all at once.
