Anyone know of a way to open JPEG files directly into ACR? I know I can do the "open as" when in ACR, I would like to be able to launch directly into ACR.
Thanks.

Hi Spud
Welcome to the village.
Im not sure of a way to open directly in ACR. I do know that once "opened as" it will revert to the ACR.
I wonder if you can do an open with (right click a jpeg in windows) and pick ACR from there.
That may let you make ACR as the default jpeg opener.

From Editor, File>Open As>select acr file type>select image.
I don't think you want to set acr as default jpeg viewer because then it would open in acr every time you open a jpeg on your computer, including from Windows Explorer or e-mail attachments.

Did some testing and it looks like Windows won't letter me set the ACR plug in as the default app for opening raw files. Windows just errors saying that the ARC plug in is not an application. Good thought though.
I have used various thumbnail/browser programs over the years, and was hoping to find a way launch the Elements editor (I am using PSE6) in ACR mode when kicking off the edit for JPEGs. I really like the adjustments that ACR provides-even for jpegs.
Thanks for your ideas.
