Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, but I have a quick question...
I want to change the color of an object in a picture and am confused on how to do that. Can someone help me out? Can I not select it and then use the paint bucket? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Try this:
1) Select your object using a selection tool such as the Lasso, Quick Select, etc.
2) Then with your object selected, press Ctrl+J. This will make a copy of your selection on its own layer.
3) On the top of your menu, look for Adjust Hue/Saturation (I'm at work not a home where my PSE6 is). Once you find Hue/Saturation, adjust the Hue slider to change the color of your object.

The reason the paint bucket doesn't work is that it will fill the object with a solid color which usually isn't what you want as any detail, shading etc will just disappear. There are other ways in addition to hue/saturation - Replace color for example often works quite well and keeps the detail.

I have some business pictures and I want to change the wall color. Which method would you recommend and also if I have a color I want to use in another picture, can I copy that color? Thanks,

Yes you can reuse a color from one picture on another picture.
Open pic #1 use the eye dropper to sample( click on ) the color you want.
This will turn the foreground color chip to that color.
Open pic #2 and the color is available for this picture.
Or make a note of the numbers of your chosen color in the color picker.
Write them down.

The color picker gives you the RGB numbers and the Hex numbers on the bottom( #).
The method that jjvera00 gives will work.
Another way is:
Make a blank layer above your image.
Set the blend mode of this layer to color.
Select a brush and paint with your color.
Ok - Blend mode is set in the layers palette.
Click where it says "Normal" and select "Color" from the bottom.
If it is not what you want you throw the layer away.
