Here is an instruction Kev gave. Click on THIS (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8717) link.

You can do a search here for more information, or do a search on Google.

If you have problems, come on back and someone will help you.

What I am looking for is the text to run horizontal and touch the circle's edge.

Hi Osrui,

I believe you'd have to have the full blown Photoshop program to do that as it requires using paths, which Elements doesn't have. Sometimes on digital scrapbooking sites you can find Text on a Path templates created in Photoshop which will work in Elements. I have a few of those and they work fine.

Here's a link to some free ones, not sure what all is included in this set, maybe there's a circle in there.

Or you can just download the zip file in this thread - unzip the psd file and add it as a layer and you'll have editable, resizable text in a circle:

And here's a preview of the text paths you get in that freebie:

Thanks, Bayla. I had downloaded several sets and wasn't sure which one was the set from that free link.

Do you want the text INSIDE the circle? So the circle is filled with text? Most of the replies seem to point you towards wrapping the text around the edge of a circle...

I would like to know how to get the text inside the circle. I am so new to Elements, only had the software a few weeks, and I know just enough to be confused. Any response needs to be really step-by-step for me. TIA.

the file is great and is a great help, could it be that you have also done a zip file where the text runs on the inside of the circle Just the opposite to what you have given us?

This I think is what you want - the text runs from left to right at the bottom of the circle. The other file has it running from left to right at the top of the circle. If you want both just use both files and combine them as separate layers.

Tony

PS Here's the combined file (two text layers) with the text running in opposite directions - the text layers are editable and resizeable and will stay in a circle.

The resultant image looks like this:

I have a download from Atomic Cupcake that puts text written horizontally into the form of a circle. It does not run around the circle. Is that what is wanted? Jean
