PSE5 Not Loading Presets

Hi all. I'm new here, but I have a question. Does anyone know why PSE5 would not load my presets. I'm talking about the frames, backgrounds, layer styles, etc that come with elements. Yes, I added some actions of my own, but they all worked fine until I dl'd Norton 360 a week ago. I've since uninstalled Norton and made them give me a refund. I uninstalled and reinstalled PSE5, but I'm one day after doing this, I have the preset issue again. I'm on the verge of calling Norton and making them pay to have me take my computer somewhere to undo whatever their program did to it. Does anyoen have a fix I can do myself to get my p[resets to coem back and stay?

Hi ...

Try this:

Close down Elements
Then Hold down the Shift key and start up Elements
Keep on holding the shift key down until it has rebuild the Artwork & Effects .

Hopefully that will sort it out :)

Thanks Wendy. Unfortunately it didn't help and I spent an hour on the phone with Adobe to get it straightened out. I will never recommend Norton to anyone again or purchase it myself after all this. PSE5 wasn't the only program it messed up, just the only one I couldn't fix on my own.

So sorry that you have had all these problems ... I have heard of other who have had problems with Norton :(

I just finished two frustrating days taking Norton 360 off and getting PSE6 back to work. I was doing some photo collage pages and I could not even get it to open at times and then if it opened at all it would crash.
I had taken off Norton products before when they messed up PSE and Photoshop products, but I understood this Norton 360 was a new write and that it did not have the problems, but my sources were wrong. Glad you got yours squared away, I hope mine is fixed for good!
