can anyone give me a step by step guide to creating a montage in elements 5,and I am a windows user

Open a new blank canvas
Control N
In the screen that comes up after you hit Control N - fill in the finished size you want your project to be - that's your "canvas" size
(I always start with a transparent background - RGB Mode - 300 Resolution )
Now, your canvas is ready to fill with color and photos
For your first try - select a nice neutral background color - choose your paint bucket tool - and fill your canvas with color by clicking inside the canvas.
Then open your photo
Select> all
Edit > copy
Go back to your new canvas - click on it with your mouse
Edit> paste
Choose the move tool - and move your photo into position on your canvas
If the photo is too large - you can use the bounding box that appears when you select the move tool - and you can resize the photo by pushing in on the corner arrow. If the photo skews - you need to hold down the shift key to maintain aspect of your photo.
Repeat for each photo
