Open a new blank canvas

Control N

In the screen that comes up after you hit Control N - fill in the finished size you want your project to be - that's your "canvas" size

(I always start with a transparent background - RGB Mode - 300 Resolution )

Now, your canvas is ready to fill with color and photos

For your first try - select a nice neutral background color - choose your paint bucket tool - and fill your canvas with color by clicking inside the canvas.

Then open your photo

Select> all
Edit > copy

Go back to your new canvas - click on it with your mouse

Edit> paste

Choose the move tool - and move your photo into position on your canvas

If the photo is too large - you can use the bounding box that appears when you select the move tool - and you can resize the photo by pushing in on the corner arrow. If the photo skews - you need to hold down the shift key to maintain aspect of your photo.

Repeat for each photo
