Using PS custom presets with PSE

So glad I found this forum! I've been trying to find the information to the following questions but have had no real luck so far.

I make custom presets (brushes, styles, patterns etc) in Photoshop 7. They are compatible with subsequent versions of PS up to CS 3 (which is why I still make them in 7).

I did have a copy of PSE 2 and discovered that it accepted PS 7 presets. Very handy.

However beyond that I have no idea about the compatibility of subsequent PSE versions with the stuff I make in PS 7.

Can presets created in Photoshop 7 be used in later versions of PSE? Up to current versions?

Can presets created in Photoshop CS 3 be used with PSE 5/6?

I'd be grateful for any information on this :)

Generally new versions of Photoshop and Elements will run anything that is created in that version or previous ones .. the problem comes when you try to run something in a old version that has been created in a newer version.

If you are using PS7 then brushes, styles and patterns should work in all versions of Photoshop and Elements.

I haven't tested all the things made in CS3 .. so I'm not sure if they will all work or not in PSE5 but they should work OK in PSE6 :)
