ISO data from my Nikon D50 camera is only showing in unedited jpg files that are uploaded to my PC outside PSE 6.0. Once I edit the images in PSE, the ISO data appears to be stripped out of the copies. To summarize the two problems with ISO data: (1) separate step to upload images before importing into PSE to retain ISO data, and (2) ISO data not available in PSE for original images (only outside PSE) and ISO data stripped out of edited files altogether. Using Opanda on the original file, the "ISO speed used" is listed under "MakerNote", not under "camera". I'm wondering if Nikon is putting the ISO data under some proprietary label rather than the standard label, or if I'm using some camera settings that are causing this problem.

It's a problem when camera manufacturers bury data in Maker Notes because it has a habit of getting lost. There are just too many non standard ways around. I don't think there's anything you can do about it - Nikon do seem to have changed though because my D80 doesn't have that problem.
