OK, I know I am buffoon and I bet this is a dumb question but what the heck.

Recently I switched from the Windows platform to an iMac, and I just installed PSE6 on the Mac. This is the first time I have seen PSE on a Mac.

Does PSE6 Mac version have the Organizer? So far I don't see any mention of it. I can use iPhoto as an organizer and set it to use PSE as the default editor and that's fine, I guess.

I am curious to know if the organizer is there and I just haven't found it or what???

Any other tips from the Mac users out there?

Thanks in advance.
Hector

I'm not a Mac user, but I can tell you that there is no Organizer in the PSE for Mac. You need to use Adobe Bridge.

I just took a quick look at the Adobe site. It appears Bridge is a component of CS3. Is this true. How do I get Bridge? How much?

Thanks again.

Bridge is part of CS3. When you launch CS3 just go to File>Browse this will automatically launch Bridge. At this point you can view all the folders on your computer. Open any folder which stores photos and you will be able to view, open and/or delete right from Bridge.

Hi Hector ...

I tend to use iPhoto like a photo album but a lot of my layered files I keep in a folder system on my hard disk. I use Bridge to access those folders ..

... Bridge is amazing. You can use it as a Filebrowser, not just for Elements, but for everything else too. Just look in Bridge Preferences and you will see that you can set the file type associations so that when you double click on different items in Bridge they then open with the relevant program. Quicktime, Preview, Elements ... on fact anything you want them to open with.

I use it all the time :)
