Im so desperate to figure this out!! Please some help me....I'm going nuts!!

I have a b/w photo that my son has decided he wanted to put a "red -inked" stamp on (stamped using a red colored ink pad). I scanned the photo in as a color photo so that the "red" would be identified from the Black and White photo in terms of hopefully completely removing(make disappear or vanish) the red off the picture as if there was never a stamp there in the first place.

How do I do this?? There are no layers so Im not exactly sure how to only select the color and remove it or make it disappear without having an obvious blanked area from where the color was removed. (i hope that makes sense)

I know this is really easy, but im racking my brain here.....

I appreciate anyones passing of there wisdom to this pse damsel in distress!

Hi Erica ...

... and welcome to the Village :)

It sounds like you will need to use the Clone Tool to clone over the date stamp.

Erica,

If you want, you can let us take a look at the image by posting a copy of it to www.pixentral.com (http://www.pixentral.com) and pasting the link back into this thread.
