hope thats makes sence,, I mean like I have a background, I want to add the borders, buttons, banner, etc to the page, I have been trying for ages and nothing works.
Thanks in advance :)

Julie,

If you open the images simultaneously in PSE, you can select all, then copy in one image, then paste in the other image. This will result in a new layer being created in the second image, which contains the contents copied from the first.

How are you making your web page? Where are you hosting it? Are you coding the html yourself or using wysiwyg program?

You should generally make copies of your images using save for web, set to the desired pixel size, and set the compression(jpg), colors(gif) to give you the smallest possible file size with reasonable picture quality.

If you are doing your own coding you will upload your graphics to an "images" folder and have an html document call for them with img tags.

This is a good site for html basics:

If you are going with a web host that uses templates and wizards you should check their site for help files or a forum

Hello, Thank you both for replying to me,,,, what im trying to do is basically make the page how I want it to look as a website, I have purchased a webset to start with and im trying to put them all like a layout,, its not letting me make the borders or add the web graphics where I want them,,,, I have no idea on HTML side of things,, gee I cant even make one page right LOL
So first I need to know how to make the page look good,,, then once that is done, if I can ever do it, dont I then just copy that into a HTML editer and that will turn it into a working site? gee I hope that doesnt sound like a stupid question, sorry if im not making much sense.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, first about making the page look good then the HTML stuff.

Thanks again
Julie

If you just want to create a photo album which you can upload to web space in order to display your photographs, this download will provide a very nice program with excellent help files:
http://www.ornj.net/

Now there is also a new feature which has a linkage to this Adobe board:
https://www.photoshop.com/express/index.html

This program requires no download, just registration, and one can display quite a few pictures in the allotted space.

You said "it's not letting me".... What is the "it"? PSE? or a website maker program?

If you just want to make a mockup of your site you can do it in PSE as Byron mentioned. Simply make a blank document, then copy and paste each element onto it. When you paste, a new layer is formed. Use the move tool to move and resize the elements around the page.

A mockup is not a bad way to work on your site design, but once that's done you will have to break it back apart to code it into html, or load the elements into a sitebuilder program.

There are some programs out there that will take a Word document and turn it into a web page. I suppose you could try that.

How are you planning to get your site out there? Are you going to use one of the free sites (like geocities and bravenet) or use space from your isp (earthlink, comcast, etc.)? Check out their templates and sitebuilder programs to see what you can do with them.

I don't think you want to design the perfect page and then try to figure out how to turn it into a website. Take a little time to learn some basics of websites first. See if you make a few really simple sites, the text "Hello World" is a classic. Or see if you can get just the banner up, or use the background graphic on a "Hello World" site.

I haven't tried it but the following has been recommended to me for wysiwyg site building:
