I hope I'll be able to check in, for a few mintues, anyway. Assuming our kids' health improves enough for a babysitter, my wife and I have a dinner date.

It sounds interesting. What sort of things happen at these virtual parties, anyway? Crazy downloads? Bobbing for floppies?

Can I attend even though I didn't enter a mask?

Is it night time yet? I'm tired of waiting for the party to start. :(

Okay, I guess I'll shuffle off and visit Scott and do my lesson for today while I'm waiting.

It's 12:46 pm here in cheeseland. TGIF and I'm ready to party. I should get my black cape out, put it on and have my hubby take one or two shots. Then post it. I won't bother with makeup as I already look like a fright. Just took a look at my cape, it doesn't need pressing and the cat hair doesn't show. I have an object I made that will make the perfect prop. I'm having fun just planning this.

Wendy,

Thank you. My husband took several shots. A witch in blue jeans. I made the cape 24 years ago and the staff was a small tree in the front garden until it died. :D :D

Good one Eva!! Will you be dressing up Monday night to shell out?
I usually sit outside Halloween night. It's a lot more fun and it saves the kids from climbing the steps, and me from constantly opening the door. Sometimes I have a little fire in my enclosed fire pit to stay warm. I sure hope it warms up a bit though because the last week has been awful darn cold!!

Pauline,

There haven't been many trick or treaters the last few years. Halloween events are being tried at neighborhood centers.

Your mask is something else, I love it. :D

Thanks Eva.
We get a pile of kids around here!!! Costs a fortune in candy, but it's always fun to see the kids all dressed up.

Gary,

My husband took several shots. Should I post one in Grants Challenge? I haven't tried doing that. Still don't know what I'm doing.

Eva

Eva

You can post whatever you like to Grants challenge (following his guidlines and non rules).

I would do as Pauline suggested in the other thread, and use one of the photos your hubby took and touch it up in elements

It doesn't have to be a masterpiece.. I'm still learning all the time, and I have no where near the talent of most of the people here, but I try to get a pic into Grant when I can.

Do a scrapbooking page if that is your forte. This one just has to be halloweeny

Gary, is right Eva (boy I hate to admit that  ). The challenge is fun, and while it's called a challenge, you aren't competing with anyone. You are challenging yourself to be creative. Jumping in and doing the first one is the hardest because you feel unsure of your ability. After that it gets easier. This one is a great one to start with as you can do anything you want and don't have to start with the photo of the week!
Play around with filters, and things that you don't normally use. It's a great way to learn about them, and sometimes you get some pretty amazing surprises.

I have an idea in the minds eye but I have to do get back to the lessons. I haven't done much else except take pics and real basic editing. I can do it, just need to hit the books.
