New to PSE6 and Premiere Elements 4. Like to produce DVD slideshows with soundtracks, but I'm stuck and would appreciate any suggestions. I produce the slideshow in PSE6 using PSD image files and export them to Premiere, but when I select "burn to DVD", I get a message that reads: Adobe Premiere Elements.exe - Application Error. The instruction at "0x000000000" referenced memory at "0x000000000". The memory could not be "read". If I click OK or Cancel to debug Premiere shuts down and my DVD does not get burned. Any ideas? I just need to focus in on your details. Check me out to see if I have them correct.
Goal: Photoshop Elements 6 slideshow as a DVD-VIDEO (standard) generated in Premiere Elements 4.
1. You create a slideshow in Photoshop Element 6 with still images whose pixels dimensions should not exceed 1000 x 750 pixels (aspect ratio 4:3). How are you outputting this slideshow to Premiere Elements 4:
a. Save As File (Movie, .wmv)
b. Burn to Disc (which will result in transfer as a .wmv as well) This sounds like the one that you are using.
c. Send to Premiere Elements (which will send your slideshow to Premiere Elements 4 as is (the non wmv route). This is the preferred route which allows for greater opportunities to break the slide show apart for further editing in Premiere Elements.
Before you do all this, how have you set up the Premiere Elements 4 preset:
DV NTSC Standard, Widescreen
Under Edit Menu/Preferences/General, do you have checked "Default Scale to Frame Size?"
Take a look at this Adobe TechNote and see if anything in it helps:

In your other thread, I also posted some links that you should take a look at.
Focus Points:
Computer details, System Specifications, etc.
What is going into the slideshow?
Output from to
Burn To Disc versus Burner to Folder results.
More details on the Burn to Folder route after you get a chance to review the suggested links.
