So, here's my first ponder: I wonder if there's any content restrictions/moderations.

I'm in the process of looking for a free, appropriate, and relatively safe way for some students to have an online gallery presence. This is a possibility, but I'm wondering about the content of other galleries. I browsed only a few and didn't see anything above PG, but you just have to be real careful when kids are involved.

Hard to say how well they will monitor it and its very early days. The one restriction I noticed is that you need to 13 or over - not that anyone can tell on-line if I'm 3, 53 or 103 :)

Mike,

The forums here are free!!! Of course, maybe you don't want your work following you home... :p

That restriction is simply to comply with COPPA (http://www.coppa.org/). There isn't a reliable age verification method online (credit card being the best, but that would also require the limit to be 18), but it's still enough to be COPPA compliant.

You'll notice a similar request when trying to register for the Village.

I was reading the term of use, and it looks like people may be able to copy and use your photos with out your permission:eek:. I don't know if I am going to be using this.:(

Adobe is in process of revising the terms of service. See this (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=74&catid=684&threadid=1349048&enterthread=y).

Mike,

I was browsing galleries on the Express site and ran across one that I wouldn't want my children seeing. It was as close to porn as anything I have seen.

Maybe Adobe will monitor this more closely in the future. Until they do, I would be careful when browsing with children.

I'm with ya, Eric. In the time between my first post and now, things have changed a bit. I've gone away from Ps Express as an option for this purpose.

It's a shame, really. It could really be a valuable tool, especially with the simple online editing tools.

Thanks for chiming in.
