After downloading my PSE3 from the Adobe store I was reading
the read me file and discovered that I am supposed to have a
goodies folder. The folder was nowhere to be found.
I have since contacted Adobe and redownloaded the program.
The folder is still not there.
Getting tired of phoning and downloading. If anybody has
this folder, could they pls e_mail it to me.
Any body else run into this problem, any solution?

Max,

The Goodies file is on the CD... It is a 160Mb file  or 151Mb when zipped...

Max,

If you downloaded PSE3 from Adobe then, sadly, you don't get the goodies folder ... :(

It would seem that Adobe does not really want us to shop
their store. I guess the discount you get for being a regular
user of their products also means they don't have to give you
the whole program.
I thought they would appreciate us buying directly from them
instead of a retailer but I guess not.
I will of course be relaying my disapproval to Adobe, hope
everyone else who runs into this problem does as well.

Well, I guess that's one reason why there is a big price difference between the two purchasing options. The download version is £49 from the Adobe UK download store - £20 cheaper than the lowest priced boxed version.

Retails versions featuring "goodies" not included on download versions is not unusual though. Perhaps though companies ought to advise at the time of purchase that the download version doesn't contain some features that are available on the cd... That way you could decide whether to splash out the extra cash for whatever goodies are included.

I guess I got a good deal then. The download price is $89.99 on the Adobe store. I bought mine boxed at WalMart for $79.99 and just seen it today at Staples for $69.99.

Mike,

Its best not to compare prices ..... in the UK we tend to pay quite a lot more.

Wendy,

Yes I know... I worked in the US for a while, I'm used to just about everything being the same in $ as £. Great while I was out there :D :D . I gave up worrying about it long ago... :)

Mike,

If you ever fancy buying CS it works out cheaper to buy a ticket and fly to the States to get it .... and they did an offer a couple of months ago to existing Elements users ... $299.

:(
