hello all

We often have a video and camera shots for events, or one or the other. I , as many do, capture everyting by including both on my movies by adding slideshows on the disc.

I'm a former user of iLife products. When I did this in iLife, it gave me the option of adding the photos I used in the slide show, and adding them to the DVD-ROM content. So, when I ship my home movie to my parents, if they put the DVD in thier DVD-ROM drive and EXPLORE it, a folder with all the photos in the slide show is available to them (full quality). Its a good way to share pictures. If viewers see a shot in the slide show they like, its there for them. I like this option, but can't find it in premiere. Is it available?

I have done this once and will be back later with the step by step details. I need to refresh my memory on the dos and don'ts.

Basically what I did was create an auto play DVD-VIDEO (no menus) that had an add on folder of jpegs that could be accessed via Explore/Computer for printing purposes.

What I did in Premiere Elements was "burn to folder" my video (no menus). Using Record Now (create data disc) I burned the VIDEO_TS folder from that saved folder + the folder of jpegs. As I recall, I road tested this on the computer as well as the TV/DVD Player, and it served its purpose.

Have you considered a "set"...DVD disc with your slideshow in DVD-VIDEO format and a CD disc with your jpeg photos used in the slideshow. Both of these should be playable on computer and TV.

If you are interested in "Bonus Items" accessed through a DVD Main Menu, I can go into detail on that later.
