First of all I installed a trial version of ACDSee. I don't see how that could have caused my problem but here it is: I have a folder on my EHD with my 200+ scrap kits. The folder is now empty. The folder icon is still there labeled "scrap kits" but the small icon I assigned next to it missing and the entire contents of the folder is empty!! I tried a computer search of an individual kit name and came up with 'no matches' (yikes.)
I have some folders of pictures that I have imported from my camera from the last month (not yet backed up) and when I try to open them it tells my that the file is corrupted and unreadable.
Any idea what I did or what could have happened:confused: All the folders above and below are intact.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.

BTW- all of the kits are backed up on discs (whew!) but not my pics.
