Another 'what is this?' question from me. I have downloaded a bunch of freebies and with them comes this file. I have a lot of these but they show nothing in my viewer and my computer doesn't know what to open them with. I would have thought it was a thumbnail shot of everything included in the kit I downloaded but not sure. Anyone have any idea?
TIA!

Hi ...
You can just stick in it the trash ... its a cache of the thumbnails for Windows. If you are using Windows this is a hidden file but it often shows up on the Mac ... you donlt need it so you can just pop it in the trash :)

If not present in a folder, Thumbs.db is a created by Windows when you browse a folder in Filmstrip or Thumbnail view. So, depending upon your browsing settings, you may have a lifetime task of deleting Thumbs.db.
Also, deleting Thumbs.db may slow down your browsing appreciably on folders with a large number of images since each time you open a folder in Filmstrip or Thumbnail view mode, Windows will faithfully and dutifully take the time to recreate the Thumbs.db file.

Michele ...
Are you using the Mac ?
If so just delete then and they won't reappear ... that just if you are using a Windows PC :) On the Mac they really are not needed ....

Well, yes, I'm on a Mac but only partially right now. Since I don't have PSE for Mac, I have to use it on my PC still and therefore I'm still running thru all those folders.....so I'll stop until I am fully moved over and then clean as I go!
Thank you!
