Most who know me know I have an absolute passion for Photography and art so it is natural that I combine the two. On March 01 I have launched “SideswayGlance” a monthly newsletter devoted to Photography. Its purpose is to demystify photography and promote the creative use of the camera. I encourage anyone who want do contribute articles, portfolios, ask questions or offer bitches and bouquets to please do so.
The newsletter will be on line for a month as web pages and a downloadable PDF version. After the month is up the present volume will be archived but still available as a PDF file. As with everything I do there will never be a charge. I do hope this flies and that you will find it helpful.
The first issue is now on line at:
http://web.mac.com/fromaway/Grant/Photos.html
Or you can by pass the intro and go right to the first page:

Good point. I do intend to have it posted on the first of every month but .... if people want to subscribe, that is send me their email address, I will set up a data base and notify them as they go up.

Grant, Thank you so much for sharing this "Passion and love for photography" with us all here at Elements Village. Your expertise, knowledge and wisdom will be well received by us all. I am already looking forward to viewing future monthly newsletters. I remember about three or so years ago when you introduced to us all the web site " The Daily critique". I have learned so much from that link , thank you again.
Sincerely, Eddie

Thank you for all the kind words! I really do enjoy these projects but it is really rewarding to have the feed back. Again thank you!
Also I received the first letter to the editor. Editor … How arrogant sounding is that?
For those that have decided to download the PDF version there is good news I have managed to get the size down to about a quarter of that they were. There is a slight degradation but it would take a keen observer to see the difference even in an A/B test.

Thank you so much for the great time I just had reading your newsletter. It is so well written that when I came to the end I was wanting more and found myself saying "Oh No is that it". I have been hooked and can't wait for the next edition.
Please pass on to Dorrine that I enjoyed her photographs.
Thanks for sharing your passion.
