I am having a super difficult time seeing many of the words, etc on the front desktop of Photoshop Elements #6. It is a rich look but words, arrows, paintbrushes are about impossible to see. I am about ready to go back to the previous versions just so I can read the initial front of the program. Any suggestions? I sure do not feel the designers checked this problem out before they put it out on the market. Thank you, dea:(

Many other users have had similar compliants about the dark-grey look (just do a quick search and you'll see what I mean). I personally do not have a problem with, I actually think it looks cool. I want to say it was designed that way to look similar to Adobe Lightroom.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I do as well think the charcoal background looks nice and I like the colored tool icons, etc. However I think it would have been so simple to have put the names of brushes in white wording, little arrows in white, etc. If I had no experience with previous versions of Photoshop Elements, it would be about impossible to know and be able to read some of the words. I tried to do a search of this problem but evidently I did not hit the right wording in search.

I find that using the large thumbnail on the brush list is a little easier to see than the text list, which is impossible to work with.
I do like the darker interface since it makes the color of the images jump out.
