Hi. When clicking Help/Photoshop Elements Help in version 5, I get the message: "Adobe Help cannot start. The help database has become corrupted. Deleting the database directory and restarting the application to reload the help content could fix this problem. Would you like Help Center to delete the database directory now? Yes/No." Clicking Yes, and restarting the program, it still won't work. I installed the program by downloading a trial version and manually entering the registry key.
Can anyone help, or is this something for tech support?
Thanks in advance,
ole k

Maybe this will help, at least it made me realize that the help file was installed on neither of my two vista pcs. Which means I must have lost it somewhere along moving from the XP PC on which the program was originally installed. And which, off course, has been moved to the attic, but I may have a backup on an EHD stored in my shelf. If neither is the case, is there a way to download an unzipped version of the help file somewhere? (Although I may not have to.)
Thanks a lot for your reply. Directly or indirectly this seems to be the way to go.
cheers,

Sorry to start a conversation with myself here, but here I am again :-). Seems the Adobe Help Center and AH Viewer folders are there, but not under user/username/appdata where I'd thought I'd find it. I was stored under C:\programfiles\Adobe, along with the main folders for Reader and Elements. So I guess the AHC and AHV include help files for both Reader and PE5, then?
cheers,
