Hi everyone!

Looking for some feedback on my 1st real scrap page. What do you think? Is it too plain? Do I need more 'stuff'?

Also, I'm trying to put something 'mushy' and poetic in the text trail. Right now I have this:

When East Meets West, It's a Whole New World Of Opportunities ---- Best Friends

Anyone artsy enough to care to change some wording on that? My goal is to describe my daughter from US being best friends with her from Japan.

Anyway, any input would be appreciated.

Go easy though, it's my first.... :o

Michele,
I am not a scrapbooking person to offer advice, so this is just what my eye is seeing and I think it looks beautiful! :)
Great work.

Michele-it's perfect.

I wouldn't change anything. The colors work, the layout is balanced, and it absolutely conveys your message. It's delightful, Congratulations!:)

Beautiful job. Love the balance and the message of the layout.
(Can't read all of it of course)
Also, I think there is the right amount of "stuff" on the page.
The only thing I can think of..is perhaps to add a bit of drop shadow or
bevel to some parts, if you like that look.
Anxious to see more pages you create.

Wowee, Michele! This looks GREAT! The Distressed Circles brush made the perfect frame for this layout! You're gonna have to let me have a copy to post in my Blog. ;)

The photo is strong - so it calls for a soft scrapbook page - I think your page is the perfect balance of strong and soft. Your text path is very cool - really works on the page.

Great, great job.

WOW, gorgeous first page.
I'm with Michelle about the drop shadows and or/bevels. A bit of layer styles can add a nice touch.
It is beautiful the way it is though.

Thx again for your feedback everyone! I'm learning about all the things I can do to take my layouts further. Well, maybe I should say that I'm learning about all the things this program can do and taking them on 1 at a time....all the while learning about MORE things! This program is amazing!

I'm so excited to get my mac version soon so I can play without delay!!!!!!
