OK tonight for some reason my printer started printing with a greenish tint to it. Please help with any suggestions. I have a Kodak 550 AiO.

Hi Johnny ..
My guess would be that one or more of your inks ar running out .... probably magenta :)

I am assuming the same thing, but I just changed out the color catridge. Maybe it was a dud:confused:

Johnny,
Might just be clogged. Your printer should have cleaning function and maybe a nozzle check. Try that before buying a new cartridge. :)

I already did a printer head cleaning twice. I'll take a closer look later tonight, see if there is anything clogged.

Double check that all the cellophane covering the sensor on the cartridge got torn off. I did that once and it screwed up the color til I figured it out. Also see if printer has a deep cleaning cycle.

Johnny, is the printer managing the color, or Photoshop Elements?

Did your test pages print correctly after printer head cleaning and print head alignment?
If you have the capability of printing CMYK you can check each color separately. Make a box and fill it with each of the colors and print to see it they print properly, this will give you a clue as to whether you have any printer head clogs.

And if all else fails - don't just buy a new cartridge - but take that cartridge back and tell them it's faulty - see if they will replace it for free. Make sure you take your receipt.

Right now I am think it is the printer head. I have tried using the basic clean printer head and deep clean printer head from the menus of the printer. Also, took out the printer head, placed back in, removed it, placed back in. Did a calibration print, which did not show magenta. And did a demo print. The Kodak symbol was yellow and not red. I have been in contact with Kodak and they will send me a printer head.
