Hello to all my new best friends!!
I'm falling more and more in love with this site every moment I spend on it. Anyway, I digress....
I'm really wanting to learn how to create scrapbook paper and maybe some scrapbook elements as well.
Does anyone know of a tutorial that does this?
I have benefited so much from all the freebies I've gotten on the digital scrapbook sites that I would like to contribute back.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Hi Susan
there are alot of sites that have tutorials. But the one I like the best is Scrappersguide.com by Linda Staggast. Her cd's are great!
You can also check out the following:

hi Susan ...
I think that lulu has covered most of the sites ... :)
Do let us see your paper when you have had a change to make some.

I don't have the Scrapper's guide cd's but I am a member of the site, and every month we get a new video and new goodies (brushes/paper, etc.) which is great. I don't do much scrap booking but the ideas come in handy when you want to make a collage too.
I made my own paper yesterday using one of the grunge brushes from her and it turned out great. A very subtle effect which made a great background for the pictures without being overwhelming. (kind of reminds me of the look of rice paper.

One of the best investments I made was for Linda Sattgast's CD's and subscription to her monthly newsletter. I agree with Pauline that her tutorials are good for much more than just Scrapbooking. What she tries to teach really clicks with me. :)

Mary do you have both her CD'S? What kind of stuff is on them?
I hesitate to purchase since I'm not too bad at PS now, but still I find that I have learned from the last 3 newsletters.

Good Morning Pauline and Wendy
The 2 CD's that I have are the one on scrapbooking and the one on making your pictures better.
I think you both may be beyond the basic stuff but in Volume 1 called Scarpbook Basics she covered making paper patterns, digital stickers, vellum, plus the technical tips section on resizing and printing more than one picture on a page. It is all done with Elements so there is no translation needed. The other thing is that each CD comes with very detailed instruction sheets that can be printed out and all the photos that she works with in the lessons.
In Volume 2 called Fabulous Photos she goes into basic enhancements, blend modes, masking techniques and photo collages. Again detailed instructions sheets and all the photos to work with.
After taking 2 of the online classes here now I probably would find some of the information on her CD's repetitive but as you know there are so many ways to do the same things in PSE so some things just click better than others.
Her monthly newsletter is more advanced and I am loving it and looking forward to it each month. She is very responsive to any email questions you may have or just saying hello. If you would like any more details on the cd's that I have just let me know. We are going away for a few days but will check back here when we return. :)

I have both of Linda's Scrappersguide CD's and they are really a great resource! To see what each CD contains, go to the www.scrappersguide.com site and click under learn more. Linda is amazing- you feel like she is talking directly to you and it makes it so easy to understand.

I also have both CD's and am a monthly subscriber. I agree with Mary completely. Linda's Volume 1 - Basics CD was what got me started on Photo Elements. She presents very easy to understand videos. Well worth the investment.
