I belong to this newletter called Photojojo and
today they had a really cool tutorial on putting
a picture on pencils; however they actually
http://photojojo.com/content/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/DSC_7674_vertical_thumb.jpg
printed out several pictures, cut them apart
and glued on to the individual pencils. Can
someone tell me if this can be done in PSE5 maybe using a photo of a set of color pencils and one picture - just not sure how to put it all together. The actual web site address is photojojo.com/content/diy/diy-photo-pencil-covers/ if anyone would like to see how they did this.

You could do it with a displacement map. Here are a couple of threads with tuts on using them.

Thanks Nancy for the tutorials. I printed them out and will give that a try. I knew I had seen a way to do it but couldn't remember for the life of me. This sure will be easier that cutting my pictures apart and glueing onto the pencils.
