I really did due diligence in looking for an answer before posting what I think will be a stupid question. My computer is still in a search for the email attachments. I have a large amount of places for it to look so it's taking forever!!
When I use the Share option from Organizer to send a picture via email, WORKS great... but I wanted to share the same pic again and just wanted to attach whatever the PSE 6 generated, but then I couldn't figure out where it was. so I started from scratch and re-sent from the original photo again. Does anyone know where the email versions are stashed? I should be getting quite a collection.
Well, that's really all for now. Thanks for any enlightenment.:o

If you are using Outlook or Outlook Express then it should finish up in the Sent items folder of the email program. That's assuming that in the email program you have the Option set to Save sent messages in the Sent Item folder (and I think that's on my default).
I do see that there is an option in PSE6 to Save as Quick Share Flow. I've no idea what that is. Maybe someone can enlighten us

Initially I also ran into the problem. PSE saves pics in the same place they were loaded from. If you imported the pics from a device and did not indicate a folder, PSA probably put them in My pictures (XP) or in Pictures (Vista - oh I hate Vista). All I did was to search for *.jpg. If all your pics are well organized in My Pictures, it should not take to long.
In the future, I suggest that you organize your pics using the organizer, and then do not move them with "Windows". Just use the organizer to do all the moving and organization. Another suggestion is to use "Smart Albums" so PSE will find them for you. And lastly, press Ctrl-Alt-3 to change the organizer to "Folder view" and Ctrl-Alt-1 to change back to normal view.
Good luck

Thanks for the response. I can look at the mail I already sent, I know how to get to that. My question is: where does the smaller picture that is attached get attached from? I can't find anything other than the original big sized file. The Share option lets you resize to small medium large etc. and then attaches the new file automatically. I can't find the smaller version. I do organize everything using Organizer. I looked in My Pictures on C: and I also looked in the folder where the original file is -- no smaller version.

As far as I can tell it doesn't save it in Elements and the way the email program works it hides the attachment away in a database somewhere that you won't see. Only way I can get at it is to look at your Sent Items and it shows as an attachment. I guess if you want you could right click on the attachment and Save As into a folder - then you could have all your attached small jpegs in one place.

Well, it isn't the answer I wanted, but it is reassuring to know I wasn't just being dense about finding the file. I can usually figure these things out. I hope that PSE takes care of the files after awhile instead of just saving them forever where they would, I assume take up some space.
Thanks for the help. I may just take your suggestion about saving the ones I want, to a separate folder from the sent email folder.
