Automatic Software Update

When I start Elements 6.0, a dialogue box opens indicating the Elements is pdating. Usually this takes a little while but not too bad. Today the update is going so slow I expect about an hour of delay. Any way to turn this process off?

Hi,
Perhaps this is a place to fix the updates. There are check boxes for several things, but the top one automatically checks for services. This may be the way to turn off the updates. I haven't tried it, but it looks promising.

Edit>Preferences>Adobe Partner Services

Es is right - first thing I did was turn that automatic update off. It's been off for 6 months and just for fun I ran the manual update - there were none so I guess you're not missing anything if you turn it off. If something does get updated I'm sure you'll hear about it here first anyway :D
