I am curious... If I upload some of my photos to the site, are they protected from being stolen? NOT that my pics are worth millions, but they are mine. The reason I ask is I read that someone elses pics were stolen off the PC and someone else is claiming them and making money. (do not remember where I read this) New to all this and have tons of questions.

Thank you,
Montine

to my knowledge they are not protected . I think the only thing you can do is upload them as save for web and use 72 resolution. I am sure others can add more info.

Hi, there have been several discussions about this. The consensus seems to be that there is nothing to stop anyone from taking your image but since you can post a low res image it wouldn't print worth a darn. You can of course watermark them to at least make it difficult for someone to claim as theirs.
Hope that helps and welcome.

Any picture posted on the web can be "stolen" but as the others said, because the maximise size in the gallery is only 700x600 pixels no one is going to bother stealing it as there isn't much you can do with it except post it somewhere else on the web.
