After viewing the most recesnt Photoshop Elements Techniques tutorial, "Color Changing Tools" by Corey Barker, I started experimenting with the Color Replacement Tool. Very neat ... but I can't seem to distinguish any difference in functionality between the different Sampling Methods (Continuous, Once, Background Swatch). They seems to perform the same!! I know what the difference is defined to be between the Sampling Methods but I just can't seem to see the difference!
WHAT I'M I MISSING.

If you replay it and watch where the + (target) is or isn't, it may become clearer to you.
This is something new to me, too, and I intend to find just the project to experiment with.

I think there's a problem with the tool in PSE4 and PSE6 although PSE5 seems to work right. Might be wrong but I think the sampling methods don't work right in these two versions. In PSE5 if you sample once and get outside the area it doesn't leak color. In PSE6 (and as I recall 4) it does (even Corey has it leaking but didn't comment on it). Still useable but not as easy as when it's working the way I think it should.

Thanks for your input. I've only used PSE 6 and would agree that there seems to be a problem with the different SAMPLING METHODS.
