Hi guys. Don't believe I've posted here before.
Iawent to my PSE 5 today and started typing in text and all of my lettering was spaced out like it had tracking and I'm not sure how to turn it off. I don't believe I've ever had this problem before!
Can anyone offer an ideas?

Have you tried resetting the text tool. Look for the first T (far left) in the tool options bar and right click - 'reset tool' is one of the options.
I have no clue if that will work, but it's a starting point until someone more knowledgeable comes along.

Thanks for the tip, but I tried it and it's still doing the spacing. Hmmm.

Looking at your screen shot in the set the leading box you have a number try setting it to Auto. The leading box is to the right of the Right Align Text.

Tried it but nothing's changed. It's still spacing all characters out. I use leading all the time and it just started doing this yesterday which is odd.

I have odd things happening sometimes after opening a psd file created in full Photoshop using some of the text spacing tools that Photoshop has that Elements doesn't (well not quite true, Elements does underneath but you can't turn them on and off). But in all cases resetting the Text Tool has always set it back to the Elements default so not sure why that doesn't work in your case - have you tried changing fonts and justification. Sometimes it needs a kick to get it working again right.
