PET Special Effects do not work for me

I installed the PET extras from the subscribers page. The PET productivity files all work, but only one of the PET Special effects works for me (Border Effect). I get various windows popping up that say "Fill not available", "Delete not available" etc. Did anyone else have this problem? I have PSE 3.0.

All of the Special Effects work ok... Are you running them on an adjustment layer?

Hi there ...

Well it could be a few of things ... so just try this out for me.

Open up any image, make a copy of it and do Layer>Flatten image .. now try out the effects.

Make a note of each one and if it doesn't work what message you get BUT make sure that you start off with a flatened image for each one :)

Yes, I was running it on an adjustment layer. So I tried flattening the image as Wendy suggested and they work! I do get an error message after running the filmstrip effect that says "Could not complete request because of program error", but it looks OK. Thanks for your help!

Glad that you are up and running with the effects ... I think that most of them need to be used on a flattened image ..:)
