Hi, I've just installed PSE 4.0 on my laptop and have performed a full restore from a backup taken on my desktop (via EHD). (Both are running XP Pro, SP2)
Organiser works fine everything appears to be present, file structure of restored photos appears as I would have expected, all in all the restore looks good.
However whenever I invoke Editor (QF or Std), the editor workspace is loaded, the selected photo is shown but the Editor is non-responsive. Task Manager shows the CPU for the editor.exe hovering around 37-45%, memory is static.
I've tried renaming the "pref files" and restarting Elements but the problem remains.
My laptop is an ASUS W5F and exceeds min hardware requirements quoted by Adobe.
I'm sort of suspicious of the Restore but can't see any problem. Before I head down the Adobe recommended trouble-shooting route I was wondering if anyone had experienced a similar problem ?
