I am a newcomer to Lightroom and like it so far. I wonder if any of you folks have exported to a print service.. ie. Mpix, Shutterfly etc. I assume that you would select the images, convert to .jpeg, size, set .dpi and create an export file. I guess the question is can you export this directly or do you save it to you harddrive and then upload from the service site? Hope this makes sense. In the past I have done this one picture at a time... slow motion! Ralph

As you've probably already discovered, it's very easy to create a folder of Export images from Lightroom (File>Export and adjust the settings, which then 'stick' unless changed later).
The question I would have: does the printing service have the capability to receive a folder of images from you? If they do, I'd guess they'd provide details on how to send them a bunch all at once; would be nice if you could do that directly from the folder of images you've created via Export from LR. I would guess the process would vary from lab to lab...?

I've not heard of export plugins for mpix or shutterfly, but there are plugins for smugmug and zenfolio (http://regex.info/blog/2008-01-22/700). So, absent an export plugin, you'd have to export to your local disk, then upload via the print service's own tools. Unless, do they have FTP upload?
