Using Windows fonts on PSE6

From what I've read, I realize PSE does not have its own set of fonts. So why do I have access to a bigger selection of fonts when using Windows programs? How can I use the selection of fonts that are available in Windows while in PSE?

Cheryl - interesting question. I look forward to seeing the answer, too.

I use PSE4 - and while in Elements, I have access to every font that is installed in Windows XP.

Isn't there a limit to the number of fonts that PSE will display ?? ... I'm sure I read that somewhere ??
