I have been lurking in these forums and getting alot of questions answered, but have yet to find the answer to mine.

I am trying to organize and burn all my old "floppy Disk" photo's from my old digital floppy camera. I have hundreds of them. As I import the photo's into PE I also put them in collections (ex: babies, shore, holidays) but they are not in date order so I have to physically go in and move them around (which is very tedious) before I burn them to a DVD. Is there any way I can go to a particular collection and organize all the photo's into that collection only, by the date of the photo with just one click. When I click on the View tab up top none of the options are highlighted.

Thanks

Sharon....

Collections are not really the best place to Organise your images. Typically Collections are used for doing Projects - say making a slide show.

As you've discovered there is little option to order the images in a Collection. The only things you can do is move them around manually or sort them all by Oldest first. Just right click on the Collection Icon and select the bottom option from the pop up menu.

Most Organising is done using Tags and in the main Photo Browser window when using Tags there are two options available - Oldest First or Newest First. What you now can't do is move them around manually.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.. I'll try using tags instead but I guess moving them manually is my best option for right now. Eventually after they are all sorted and burned, I will be making slideshows with different subjects. Can't believe how my floppy's have deterorated already. ALOT of them are corrupted and I can't even get the photo's off of them. What a shame.
I appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks
