Here is what has been going on. I have been trying to install this program for THREE DAYS. I got the bundle for Elements 6 and Premier Elements 4.
Elements 4 is installed and ready. But Elements 6 isn't too good.
I have it downloaded and have run the exe file that was downloaded. Here is what this box says in the installer
The downloaded files must be extracted before you can use them. Please specify a folder for the extracted files to be placed in. If the folder does not exist, it will be created for you.
It says by default for the location "\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0"
If I go ahead and click next this box pops up.
A problem ocured while creating the destination folder. Please check the folder permissions or choose a different folder.
So I go ahead and choose my own folder. C:\Users\Garth
I clikc next and this pops up
A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privilages on the destination folder.
This can't be right. For one, it's MY folder. And two, I've got 59 GB of space! (I share this computer with 3 people)
I'm running windows vista as an administrator. I've tried this on the original admin and it still happens.
If someone can help, please do so.
